Dear Intynety baby,

What a longish day it became. Started out a little sick and then felt better and then ran around with friends and saw a show and now sitting here saying “Hi” again after a day spent apart.

Ok an evening spent apart.:)

8 hours.

It was an eternity away from your nebulous and virtual presence my love. Did anything happen while i was gone? Is Facebook ok? Do I have any notifications?

Did you miss me?

I wanted to come and say intimate, intelligent things about the financial crisis and the terrible truths of life and maybe something silly and funny to make you giggle like back when you were just a couple of usenet and irc channels. Give you a moment of youth back.

But I’ve had a beer or two, and a show where my friend and my not quite friend (cause he’s a big creepy pervert but not necessarily a bad person) got naked a lot.

Being a BadMormon doesn’t mean that you can just disregard years of brainwashing. I have never done a bikini due to the rules of modesty ground into me. Just a basic tank top is a triumph. Watching naked people dance on stage is discomfiting. But is was done with a point and for a reason and I love my friend and what she’s trying to do with it. I just wish I was more comfortable.

And it has taken a lot out of me so I don’t have the deeply thunk thoughts and wild imaginings to spill into your electrons that I had wanted to save for you.

Please forgive me. Tomorrow I swear I will make sure you know what I know about how to fix our country and it’s financial downfall. Tonight, let’s just sit together, making our rounds, remembering the early days and knowing that we are here for each other forever. OR at least until I die or the electricity is turned off.

Running across ex-mormons everywhere

Then there is the irony of their “prophets” sudden “revelations” about polygamy and black people when it becomes politically expedient — though the polygamy “revelation” took 28 years after Congress outlawed it 11 years after SCOTUS upheld it and the less “white and delightsome” folks “revelation” took 14 years after the Civil Rights Act, so I use the term “sudden” loosely.  Yet the Mormons stubbornly insist that this time God is absolutely sure about this whole gay marriage thing and couldnt ever change his mind?

If you ask me, the gays and lesbians have picked the right religion to picket. …

One thing I know, having grown up Mormon, is how well they can keep a secret.  Keeping in mind the Mormons donated half of all the money given to support Prop 8, thats a whole lot of anti-gay for me to want to keep away from the kids.  Could there be a few underaged skeletons in the temple closets?
